The history of coffee in El Salvador is deeply intertwined with the nation's development. Introduced in the late 1880s, coffee soon replaced indigo as the primary export. By the 1920s, coffee represented 90% of El Salvador's exports.
Origin and Growing Conditions
Our El Salvador coffee comes from the Las Isabellas farm, featuring a blend of Pacamara and Bourbon varieties. Located on the southern face of "Cerron Grande" in the Apaneca region, the farm sits at an altitude of 1200 to 1450 meters and participates in the Blue Harvest project.
Farm Details
Las Isabellas spans 175 acres, including natural forests, springs, and waterfalls. The farm is Rainforest Alliance certified and is managed by Jose Roberto Santamaria, who oversees both the farm and the mill.
