How to Use It The French press system is one of the easiest ways to brew rich, aromatic coffee.

1. Set the CAFFETTIERA on a flat surface, hold the handle securely, and remove the plunger.
2. Add one rounded teaspoon or a coffee scoop of coarsely ground coffee for each 4 oz. of water.
3. Pour hot water (approximately 92-96ºC) into the carafe, leaving about 2.5 cm (1 inch) at the top, and stir with a spoon.
4. Position the plunger on top and rotate the lid to close the spout to keep the heat in.
5. Let it brew for four minutes, then gently press the plunger down.
6. Turn the lid to open the spout and pour your freshly brewed coffee.

Care Instructions Before first use, wash with warm soapy water and dry completely. All components are dishwasher safe.

All Bodum coffee and tea makers are sized according to European measurements: 1 cup equals approximately 4 oz.
