Project Waterfall

Project Waterfall

703 million people worldwide lack access to clean water, with many residing in rural areas—often the same regions growing our coffee.

Coffee is a water-intensive crop, requiring up to 840L of water to produce a single 750ml pot. This is more than tea, sugar, wheat, or barley. While we enjoy pure filtered water in our coffee, communities growing it face water shortages.

Project Waterfall aims to give back by investing in sustainable clean water, sanitation, and hygiene projects, uniting the coffee industry and consumers for a common cause.

Since 2011, Project Waterfall has raised over £1 million, impacting more than 80,000 lives in Nicaragua, Tanzania, Rwanda, Vietnam, Uganda, Kenya, and Ethiopia. Moving forward, the goals are:

- **Reach more people**: Expanding access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene.
- **Raise awareness**: Highlighting the global water crisis.
- **Create tangible impacts**: Providing ways for individuals and businesses to make a real difference.

Focused on coffee-growing regions, where many lack access to safe water, Project Waterfall supports sustainable projects. Local people are trained to maintain the water sources, ensuring a lasting impact. With a 100% promise, all public donations fund clean water projects, as corporate sponsors cover running costs.

By improving water access, we contribute to breaking the poverty cycle. Project Waterfall is dedicated to making meaningful, lasting change without overpromising, committing only when funding is secured.
